Please read the following information. It will ensure that you properly install the software and informs you about other information that is included in the download file, such as the location of the reference manual.

Download and install ESP 5

The download file is 17mb so you will need a high-speed connection to download it. You may, however, download this file on any computer, it does not have to be the computer that you will be scheduling on. The following discusses both options.

1. Save the setup file

Select the download ESP 5 link and when prompted, choose to save the file to your Windows desktop.

Read before running the download file.
If you have previously installed a copy of ESP 5 and are using ESP 5.03 or higher on a computer that can connect to the internet,  you do not have to download this file. You can simply use the HELP | CHECK FOR UPDATES option from program's Menu to update your version of ESP.

2. Install ESP

Install ESP on a different computer than you are downloading on

After you have saved the installation file called SetupESP.exe to your desktop, move it to a rewritable, removable device, such as a USB key and take it to the computer that you will be scheduling on. Save the SetupESP.exe file to the desktop on that computer, and then continue the steps below.

Install ESP on the same computer that you are downloading on

NOTE: if you are updating a ESP 5.07 or earlier then you should uninstall ESP from the remove programs option on the computer's control panel before running the setup file.

When ready to install ESP, go to the Windows desktop and double-click the SetupESP.exe file to install ESP 5 on your computer.

When you run the setup file, ESP will be installed on your hard drive.

New installations are given a built-in expiry of approximately 60-days and you will need to register your license before the expiry. You may do this at any time by following the register ESP 5 instructions or contacting us directly for assistance.

Documentation that is installed with the software includes:

  • fully-integrated context-sensitive help: when the program is open selecting the HELP option on the menu or toolbar will open information about the active form.
  • links to our on-line help website: if you are using ESP on a computer that can connect to the internet, when the program is open you can access the on-line help from a link from the HELP option on the menu.
  • ESP Upgrade Guide (pdf format**): will walk you through converting your data and will help to familiarize yourself with this new version. This is installed automatically in the same folder as the program when you run the SetupESP file and can be opened from the START menu.
  • ESP Reference manual (pdf format**): detailed information on program. This is installed automatically in the same folder as the program when you run the SetupESP file and can be opened from the START menu.
